What Happens Behind the Scenes?
When you see a sonographer performing an ultrasound, the actual scan is only one part of the process.
Because IUS is mobile, our sonographers may begin their day by preparing equipment and supplies, reviewing the day's schedule, and traveling to different clinical locations throughout the region.
Once they arrive, they set up the ultrasound equipment, prepare the exam space, and work with the clinical team to ensure everything is ready for the patient.
From there, the sonographer performs the appropriate examination, captures diagnostic-quality images, documents the study, and completes the necessary workflow before packing up and heading to the next location.
Preparation, adaptability, technical expertise, and attention to detail all play an important role in mobile ultrasound.
